Dear Haley,
We took you to mass yesterday and you did pretty well. We went over to Lolo and Lola's house after and pretty much stayed there until midnight. We ate a lot of food and chit chatted with Mommy's cousins and Aunts. Your Lola made us bring home her humidifier; I was telling her how congested you get in the mornings and she told me that the humidifier should work well.
Your Dad organized a camping trip to Big Bear the last weekend of September with most of the family. There will be about 20 or so people going and I can't wait! I'm seriously excited about it and I'm hoping that you'll enjoy the trip as well. Your Dad has this crazy idea about buying a jet ski off of eBay to bring to the camping trip (Big Bear has a lake as well) and I'm basically just keeping myself from saying anything that it's such a waste of money. He's been thinking of getting one lately but he has 3 motorcycles in the garage; I think he should sell one before buying another machine or whatever.
I received a call from HR at work; I was advised that I have until October 11 to return work. I'm relieved because I'm not too excited about going back to work. A little bird told me from work that my work load has been delegated to someone that was not trained by me and has pretty much screwed up the hard work I've done and I really don't want to go back to a mess. I may have to look for another job. I know that this is not very responsible but your mother is kind of anal about being organized and if I go back to a mess, my stress level will be so high I'll pop another vein in my eye. Seriously...it has happened before like two weeks before I married your father.
Your Dad will be going back to work himself next week and I'm a little sad. I'll miss spending the whole morning in bed with you and your Dad and just being lazy. But we all have to go back to work sometime.
Love,
Mommy

I think it will be cool to see how long your Mommy can keep this up. I am crossing my fingers and I'm crossing your toes as I'm typing this.
Your Aunt and her boyfriend (who is also your Godfather) came over yesterday and helped your Daddy and I take care of you. Your Daddy had to wake up early this morning so he can go to school (he has Saturday classes this summer). It was nice of them to come over and help out; at 7 weeks, you have been pretty demanding (but pretty and fun!).
We visited your Lolo and Lola earlier today and they were very excited to see you (as usual). Whenever we visit, everyone takes over holding you and just looking at you. These are the times that your Mommy gets to relax. I love you but you are already a handful. I had some soup for lunch that your Lolo made; he usually makes soup whenever we're over there; supposedly, soup is good for breastfeeding moms like yours. Daddy picked us on his way home from school.
Earlier tonight we went out for sushi with your Daddy's friends. You are usually very good when we go to restaurants (the few times we've taken you along) but tonight you got fussy for a few minutes. I think you scared Daddy's friends who are actually trying to make a baby! (When I say "out for sushi" that usually means california rolls and calamari for me and a teriyaki chicken dinner with spicy tuna rolls for your dad. We usually order the same thing wherever we go. Yes, you will learn that your parents are kind of weird.) But you calmed down and finished your 4 oz. of formula (we are also bottle feeding you with formula). We went to Coldstone's for dessert and I ordered the chocolate ice cream with KitKat and marshmallows (yes, this is what I usually order, please don't judge me!). Your Dad walked around a bit with you in your stroller with his friend while I was inside ordering our ice cream with Daddy's friend's wife. I ordered the Chocolate Devotion for Dad, I forgot what was in it but definitely all kinds of chocolate. It turned out that your Dad wanted the Birthday Cake Remix...oh well, next time but he sure devoured that ice cream when we got home!
You are sleeping soundly and I hate to wake you up and change your diaper but it has to be done or you'll get fussy later. Your Dad is sound asleep in the room, he had an early morning and he didn't have much sleep the day before because we woke him up early so we could play. He ended up taking us to the pool; he went swimming while Mommy watched and while you were sleeping (AGAIN) soundly in your stroller.
So, let's go to bed my Baby Girl. It will be Sunday in the morning and I'm hoping we can all go to mass early. We are going to Lola's house again. You'll soon learn if you haven't already that there's always a party at Lola's house.
Love,
Mommy
